I chose to design fun sets of stamp images that children would use for their kid crafts or scrapbooking. I offer it as a rubber stamp starter kit that includes a clear rubber stamp set, acrylic blocks and a washable ink pad. Having cool themes is important so that additional stamps sets can be purchased to complete the collection.
I wanted to make sure that any child using the rubber stamps would have fun fun fun like I did and love the images they were stamping on their paper. The stamp images are big enough that they can color them in with a crayon, marker or paints or stamp it on their hand as a cool tattoo. Children love tattoos of rubber stamps on their hands, feet and tummies too – my daughter always has some type of ink tattoo on her body and is proud to show it off.
Coming up with the name of the company was fun and easy, as it involved my children – the love of my life. My daughter always had a large foot size for her age and I affectionately call her "Bigfoot" – her first shoes, which are bronzed, were a size 5 (those bronzed shoes can be used as book ends). When my son was born and he had baby acne and my daughter asked what it was, I said “he has a pimple face”; however, she would pronounce it as “Pickle Face" and that nickname stuck. Now he constantly makes these frown faces that look like he tasted a sour pickle – Santa even got the look from him. Those two silly nicknames became the lexicon of our family and now appropriately the name of my business.
As a parent I find that any time I do any kids crafts they must be fun and easy to use, easy to clean up and easy to store. Easy to clean up and easy to store is important to me as I like to quickly pack everything in a container and put it away until the next time for crafting. In our household we have containers for everything: a sticker container, a marker container, a crayon container, a rubber stamp container, an acrylic blocks container and a container for ink stamp pads. The storage containers stack nicely on top of each other or beside each other for easy access for our next kids crafts project. Check out our storage container that is sold separately, you will really like them as they make for easy organization and are clear so you can see what it in them at a glance.
Not only did my children inspire me to start my own collection of clear rubber stamps and design the rubber stamp kits for kids crafts; but I must give credit to my younger brother who is really into family activities. One spring day, my brother brought me along on a letterboxing adventure and I thought it was great fun because it not only gave us exercise but it involved spending time with the family on an outdoor adventure. You may wonder what it has to do with rubber stamps, well when you find the “box” you leave your “mark” or stamp image that you were there. If you have never heard of letterboxing you can check it out at this website: http://www.letterboxing.org.
I wanted to have a product where I could spend more time with my daughter and have it be fun. She loves helping me with the business and we encourage you to look at getting one of our starter kits and start having fun too. Perhaps some day she will get into scrapbooking and will use the images for her “scrapbooking” projects, but today we just make simple childlike thank you cards, theme cards, note cards and decorate anything that is just plain paper.
I sincerely hope that you find as much fun and joy using our kids crafts products as we do, and that our products assist you in your endeavors to spend quality time with your own precious children.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Marchek

Fun and Interactive Clear Rubber        Stamps for Kids Crafts
As a mother of a very active daughter, I decided that I needed to come up with some crafts for kids to enhance and drive the creativity within her. I thought back to my childhood and on rainy days my mother had this box of treasured rubber stamps we could only play with when we were stuck inside the house. It was this cool circus set of rubber stamps with a black ink pad. My 12 siblings and I spent most our childhood outside, except when mother nature kept us indoors and we either did kids crafts, read books or played Atari. I loved that rainy day rubber stamp kit and so I decided I needed a “cool” set of stamps for my children to remember, thus my rubber stamp kits were born along with Bigfoot & Pickle Face™.
